Triset Ltd (Company No. 17116041) is committed to providing and maintaining a safe working environment for its employees, subcontractors, clients and the public, in full compliance with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and all associated UK regulations. Health & safety is a condition of engagement at Triset — never an option.
The company (Director) will: provide safe systems of work, suitable equipment and tools, information and training, supervision appropriate to the task, and review of H&S performance.
Engineers and subcontractors will: take reasonable care of themselves and others, comply with site rules and inductions, use equipment and PPE correctly, report hazards, incidents and near-misses immediately, and never undertake work they are not competent or authorised to perform.
For every engagement, task-specific risks are assessed before work begins — including manual handling, working at height (ladders/steps for AP and cabling work), electrical work near live equipment, and lone working. Method statements/RAMS (Risk Assessment & Method Statements) are prepared on request for client sites and projects, and engineers operate strictly within client site-induction requirements.
Appropriate PPE is provided and used as required by site rules and task risk — including, where relevant, eye protection for drilling/cabling, gloves for manual handling and metalwork, hi-visibility clothing in warehouse/logistics environments, and hard hats where site rules demand.
Electrical work is carried out only within the competence and authorisation limits of the engineer. Portable appliances and tools are visually inspected before use and maintained in good condition. Client equipment is only isolated, connected or powered per client instructions and site procedures. Damaged equipment is withdrawn from use immediately.
Manual handling risks (servers, UPS units, displays, equipment loads) are assessed and managed — two-person lifts or mechanical aids where required. Engineers working alone on site follow sensible lone-working practice: check-in/check-out arrangements with the office, assessed site access, and no entry to unassessed confined or unsafe spaces.
All accidents, dangerous occurrences and near-misses are reported to the director immediately and recorded. Incidents reportable under RIDDOR are notified to the HSE as required. Client-site incidents are additionally reported to the client's responsible person.
This policy is reviewed annually, after any significant incident, or when working practices change. All personnel are informed of updates.
